Jason Buschbom has lived in
Kansas for the majority of his life and is no stranger to chasing
whitetails. He has been an avid bow
hunter for the past 18 years. Jason
left Kansas for a short time to obtain his degrees in Outdoor Recreational
Management and Business Management from Northland College in Ashland,
WI. He met his wife, Trish of 12
years, while attending college. Jason and Trish have two daughters, Ella, age
7, and Andi, age 4.
Both girls are learning the love of the outdoors through turkey
hunting and are currently looking forward to joining Dad in the deer
stand. Ella shot her first turkey in
2012, with a little help from Dad. She
sighted in the Tom down the barrel and pulled the trigger, resulting in a
9-inch bearded Tom and Dad's bruised shoulder. Trish is understanding when it comes to
deer season, since Jason is in the woods more than he is at home. She has
also recently obtained her hunters safety card and is avidly pursuing her
first turkey. Jason's greatest bow-hunting accomplishment was when he
harvested a whitetail that grossed over 200 inches.
Jason recently learned about the Hunting Lease Network
when a piece of ground near his home in Kansas became available for
leasing. He found that the leasing
process was smooth and he was able to lease the ground with a hunting
buddy. That friend soon purchased his
franchise in the Hunting Lease Network and owns Eastern Kansas. Good friends
enjoy hunting and working together, so Jason and Trish joined their friends
in owning a franchise with the Hunting Lease Network and purchased Western
Kansas.
Having guided for an outfitter in Central Kansas for 10
years, Jason is familiar with out of state hunters and how to meet their
expectations. He has experience
speaking with landowners about their property and the unique opportunities
that leasing has to offer. Jason and
Trish are also landowners and understand how to transform a piece of property
into a haven for wildlife and a playground for the outdoor enthusiast.
