Property Description: LEE COUNTY, IOWA. All legal game allowed to be harvested on this well diversified farm. Crops usually rotating between corn and or beans. Good forage of 16.8 acres of hay around most of the timber. Small pasture of 3.1 acres although farm operator reserves the cropland after harvest, for cattle. If and when cattle are allowed to graze on cropland, it would only be for a couple of weeks. The perimeter fences are not good enough to keep cattle on property. Farm operated will cooperate with hunting planning and is willing to speak to prospective lessees in advance of lease signing.
The timber has mutiple points as well as some funnels for those edge hunters. Ample timbered locations for stand placement within the timber too. Two large bottlenecks from the northern neighboring and eastern neighboring properties give security to those traveling deer into this property.
This is another one of our Farmers National managed farms by one of our hunter friendly farm managers, which is a added plus. The farm has not been previously leased for hunting so interior and exterior posting os 'leased for hunting' signs is recommended.
Property is not far from West Point, Iowa for fuel, food etc. and has good road access. ATV use allowed only for stand placement and animal removal.
