Property Description: QUALITY NORTHEAST MISSOURI HUNTING AND FISHING LEASE!!! Two tracts combine to offer over 500 acres of hunting and fishing in Northeast Missouri!
Tract #1; 240 acres of productive farm ground with strips of timber and lots of CRP acres on the South side of the farm that funnel the deer into the crop fields. A portion of the CRP acres were converted to Native Warm Season Grasses in 2009. The West fenceline is a major deer travel corridor. I observed lots of rubs and deer sign while scouting this tract. There is also a nice 1 acre stocked pond for fishing. Landowner says deer are everywhere and needs a hunting party to thin them out! Lots of crop damage was observed. Lots of turkeys. Landowner installed a couple green browse plots within the CRP acres for 2009 season.
Tract #2: 372 acres with a couple great stand sites. The woodlot on the Southwest corner had tons of deer sign and some impressive rubs. A strip of Native Warm Season grass runs along this woodlot and will provide bedding cover. Connects to timber on adjoining tracts. The East side of tract 2 has a couple nice wooded draws and some thick cover. The old homestead visible on aerial photo is vacant and will not affect the hunting. This portion of the property is a secluded honey hole located in the middle of hundreds of crop acres.
