Property Description: DEER AND TURKEY LEASE IN WINONA COUNTY! This property is located in the Dorer State Hardwood Forest area in Southeastern Minnesota, which is gaining a nationwide reputation for the quality deer and turkey hunting. Out of state tags are over the counter in Minnesota! The tract is made up of 55+ acres of solid timber that is comprised of mostly oak trees, 70 acres of forage and the remaining 273 acres of corn, bean and alfalfa rotation. These are a deer food source for the wooded creek bottom to the west, along with the oaks trees that are heavy with acorns. The landowner reports that the fields are loaded with deer and turkey feeding morning and evenings. DNR says ~ 50 deer living in the area. The number of hunters is limited to 8 for the season. ATV use is allowed only for hunting activities and limited to existing roads and trails. Special care must be taken not to damage crops. Landowner will be meeting the lessee to show property boundaries. $1MM of liability insurance comes with the lease. Outfitters must provide their proof of liability insurance.
