ARCHERY DEER LEASE IN WINONA COUNTY! This is the heart of the Southeastern Minnesota TROPHY WHITETAIL Bluff Country!!! The lease is for 2 sportsmen, archery deer only and ends 12/31/2009 (end of 2009 archery season). The landowner is reserving the small game, upland hunting. This tract is a nice mixture of crops, grassland, and timbered ravines. The breakout is about 30 acres of crops, 40 acres of CRP and the remainder, approximately 70 acres of timber. The timber consists of mature hardwoods, newer plantings of ash, walnut and maple with some spruce intermixed. The mature timber has been recently thinned. The ravines are seasonal creek beds. The tract is fairly isolated and hunts like a much bigger parcel given the ravine seperating the wood lots and the tougher access.

I walked the ground with the landowner and saw loads of fresh deer sign. Good trails, beds and rubs along the north timberline.

There is good access from a field road and a spot to put a camper. NO ATV USE ALLOWED. Number of hunter is limited to 2.

Out-of-state license and tags are over the counter in Minnesota! No commercial use. Sportman need to meet with landowner to discuss access. $1MM of liability insurance included in lease price.
