Property Description:
EXCELLENT DEER AND TURKEY HABITAT ON 240 ACRES IN SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS!
Wow, this is the property we have been waiting for! This 240 acre tract of land is located southeastern Kansas about 4 miles northwest of McCune. When you see a farm like this one you know why is Kansas number one in the non-typical category and number 2 in the typical category in the Pope & Young bow hunting record book. With an excellent natural resource base and great habitat quality, KSEA 0029 is the kind of place where you go to encounter those impressive Midwest titans. Get ready!
This part of the state is the distinctive center of some of the best deer hunting in the state. With over 75 acres of row crops (soybeans) and the balance in hay, stream and timber, this farm provides excellent habitat base for deer and turkey. In fact, this property provides the perfect mix of natural resources for prime deer hunting. The farm breaks down like this: hay meadow/pasture 20 acres, CRP 10 acres, timber 140 acres including a 20 acre pecan orchard, and crops 75 acres. The hay, crop field, and deciduous trees, including pecan trees, provide needed protection, food and cover that will attract deer to this location year around. In fact, when asked to describe the property the landowner said the “Best deer and turkey hunting in SE Kansas.” When you see the aerial maps you’ll know why.
As a biologist and hunter, this is the kind of farm I would love to have as my primary deer property. Don't let this get away!
OK, you get the 240 acres for 12 months to hunt all legal species. Plus we always include $1 million in hunting liability insurance with every lease. Outfitters/guides must provide their own additional insurance.
Please note: The landowner is on the property in the fall to pick pecans. However, he will coordinate any activity with the hunting lessee prior to picking. Additionally, this farm has a working oil well on the east side.
