The deer hunting is outstanding and it doesn't take but one look at the aerials to see why. Nice big blocks of timber. Lots of little pocket fields which create nice funnels and pinches. There are over 100 acres of timber, with the rest being hay, CRP & crops.
The landowner reports seeing deer and turkey regularly. It is not uncommon to see 20+ deer in the bottom fields in the Fall. The landowner knows of two really large bucks being shot on his farm. One being a 225# 13 point.
The waterfowl potential on this property could be huge! The bottom fields regularly hold ducks and geese each Winter. Not to mention the access to the river. There is a small creek that flows into the river. This is a great spot for a decoy spread and a place to launch a boat/canoe.
The fishing in the river is an added bonus. Catfish weighing close to 60 lbs. have been caught in the area.
This farm does have 70 head of beef cattle that are rotated around the pastures. They can not get into the woods and this has not affected the wildlife on this property.
The landowner retains the rights for his Grandson-in-law to hunt.

Landowner requests to be notified before hunters are coming to hunt. This is a working farm and he does not want to get in the hunters way.
