Property Description: If you are a hunter or have ever hunted in Iowa then you have heard of Monona County and the Loess Hills region, and the kind of Monsters they produce. These Deer and Turkey rank up there with the best in the Midwest.
Owner’s son lives on a farm nearby and watches over the property as well as do the tenants, which makes the property well protected. Respect for ground and crops is a must, destruction of crops or land will not be tolerated. ATV's are permitted and limited for hunting purposes only. There are many trails used by the renters and the owner so there will be no problem for the person that ends up leasing this awesome tract to get to any place they want to hunt without much of a walk. I was very impressed with the trails to access everywhere you would want to go. Please stay on the trails with ATV’s. When using the gates for access they should be left as they were found.

The field crops on this particular tract include corn, beans and alfalfa, which deer thrive on. There is a spring fed creek that is has a constant flow of fresh water that fills the dam (approx. 10 acre). The dam boasts some great fishing. Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Catfish and most likely more species to fish for. There is corn and soybeans that border the tract so you have all that you need for food plots. The owner only allows the tenants to pasture 14 cows, their calves and a bull on the tract not to disrupt the natural flow of things. Limited hunting has been done on the place in the past which has produced several mature bucks. The owner does not allow outfitters at this time. There are several small towns in the area for food and fuel and a historic bed and breakfast in Castana, 4 miles away. Owner will allow a camper or trailer to be parked on the property year round if desired. Farm has an excellent well and high quality drinking water and a walk in cellar for storing and processing game. If electricity is desired, costs can be discussed with the owner. .
